VEGAN MASCARAS! 

I searched high and low online to find drug store mascaras that don’t test on animals and that also aren’t made with bees wax. It was more difficult than I expected. But here is what I came up with. Most of these products can be found online, in Target/Kmart, or at Sephora. Hope this is helpful! 

1. e.l.f. Mineral Infused Mascara: made with synthetic beeswax. All e.l.f. mascaras are made with synthetic beeswax, not just this specific one. $1-3 

2. Mally Volumizing Mascara: made with synthetic beeswax. This is personally one of my favorite mascaras. Whenever I wear it, I get people asking if I’m wearing false lashes. I’ve used it for a couple years now and you can all imagine my delighted surprise to find out that it wasn’t made with any beeswax. $20

3. Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara: Made with carnauba wax. Urban Decay ensures vegan product status by the paw print on their website. This seems to be the only vegan UD mascara available. $20

4. Tarte Lights Camera Lashes: made with rice and carnauba waxes. Water proof version, Lights Camera Splashes, is also vegan. $19 

5. Sephora Collection Outrageous Volume Mascara: made with carnauba wax. I checked out a lot of Sephora brand mascara’s and all the others that I looked at were made with beeswax. $15

6. Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara: according to mymakeupmirror.com, all Smashbox products are vegan, but I looked at Smashbox’s Hyperlash mascara and beeswax is listed under the ingredients. Maybe it’s synthetic? but it doesn’t specify. This one is made with carnauba wax. $19
